Hey there UABers!
My daughter and I came to Boston at the last minute with my husband while he is working...are there any Bostonians out there who would like to meet for coffee? Smile

We are in Somerville...so I'm not sure if that counts as Boston Boston or the outskirts of Boston...We are here until Sunday or Monday depending on Kevin's progress at work...it will most likely be Monday by the looks of it today...I am within walking distance to the Orange Line if that helps... Smile

Are you up for something on Saturday night (not late). Do you have a car?

I consider Boston to be Boston Boston, everything else is outskirts (but that may be just me). And I consider the outskirts anything you can get to via the T subways, not trains.

We can either drive into Boston (or Somerville) or we could take the T in from Braintree and meet somewhere where the orange and red lines meet.

Great! I do not have a car though...
What time are you thinking? (Not late works best for us too!) So far I have taken the Orange to Haymarket and today we are going to the Aquarium so I am getting pretty good at the transit thing. I see on the map that the Orange and Red meet at Downtown Crossing, is that where you were thinking?

Yes, Downtown Crossing is perfect. Let me see if I can find a place more specific where we can meet.

We have a few errands to run in the morning, so how about we meet up around 4pm?

Ok, let's meet at the corner of Washington and Summer Streets on the Downtown Crossing Station side of the intersection.

I'll be wearing a Haunted Mansion shirt and green shorts. I'm tall, with a goatee and I'll be wearing sunglasses.

ACK! Not sure if you guys are going to check this...I am really hoping you are! There is a crazy thunderstorm right now and it doesn't look like it is going to let up in the near future! I don't have a car and have to walk to the subway station...AND I don't have an umbrella or anything to put over the stroller...is it crazy weather where you are coming from? Should we reschedule? or cancel?

All was well, the weather let up and we got together.

We had a great time and Kati and her daughter were fun to be with.

Thanks for trekking out in the flash floods to meet up, and next time you're in town, we'll do it again!

It turned out to be a lovely afternoon downtown! The flash floods were a great adventure! I've never seen anything like it! Audrey and I had a great time! Can't wait to see those pics with Figment! Hopefully we will be visiting again soon! And if anyone makes the trip to Ottawa, I'd be glad to have you!
